Thailand takes MotoGP?

General promoter of world championship motorcycle racing Dorna Sports, through its president Carmelo Espelety held talks with representatives of the Circuit Buriram International Circuit. According to preliminary estimates, in 2015 Thailand can enter into the official calendar of racing MotoGP.

The track Buriram International Circuit design company designed the famous Herman Tilke, and for the stage MotoGP at the end of construction must comply with all requirements of the FIM category «A». It is planned that the construction of the track, which is located 320 kilometers north of Bangkok, to be completed in October 2014, so that the first national Grand Prix in Thailand could take place as early as next season behind him.

Given the high interest of the largest manufacturers of motorcycles in the markets of South-East Asia, Dorna Sports is actively trying to reshape the geography of the ongoing stages, reducing their number in the United States and Spain. Recently, in an interview with British journalists Carmelo Espeleta confirmed the possibility of Thailand on the calendar: "The representatives of Buriram International Circuit said that very soon the construction of facilities is completed. This is great news, which means we could be talking about joining the Thai stage in the calendar for the year 2015. "
