Project КТМ Venom is postponed

The project of Austrian motor-manufacturer КТМ under name Venom is postponed till the best times. According to the official representative of the company Thomas Kuttruf, in the near future manufacture of this motorcycle will not be begun.

Project КТМ Venom has been postponed by Kontsept nacked superbike КТМ Venom for the first time presented in 2004. It was supposed that it will be started in manufacture in 2009 – in a year after device RC8 exit. But alas, crisis has introduced the corrective amendments – these plans could not come true.



According to the representative of management КТМ, the pre-production model of bike is in office of design company Kiska (which appearance of all motor-technics under brand КТМ is responsible), but it will not go to manufacture yet.

"We wished to make the present superbike in nacked execution, for this purpose and project Venom has been conceived. And we do not refuse this idea completely, the project is not closed, it only stops", - has declared Kuttruf.

"As mister Pirer (has rather correctly told Stefan Pierer, head КТМ) before to do nacked superbike, at us should be a good and successful simply superbike. So now it is the basic priority. And Venom will wait", - he has added.

At КТМ RC8 Venom as the engine should be established V-Twin capacity of 155 h.p., and weigh a motorcycle as it was supposed, should about 200 kg. The basic secret of this motorcycle was assumed that he should offer a new kind of pleasure from driving – sensation as from supersports, but at preservation of sexual semistreamline appearance.

New bike should become the basic competitor to such cars as Aprilia Tuono 1000 and BMW HP2 Sport.
