Ducati reported

Italian manufacturer Ducati presented the semi-annual report. Despite a slight decline in sales, the number of motorcycles sold in the Borgo Panigale is impressive.

Just recently, the German car manufacturer Audi AG has published a report for the second quarter of 2013, which referred to the achievement belonging to her motorcycle manufacturer Ducati. According to the report, in the first six months of the year Ducati dealers all over the world were able to implement 26,007 motorcycles, which is 4.8% less compared to the 27,316 units sold during the same period in 2012.

Despite a slight decline in overall business at Ducati is doing well, especially given the general trend (about 6.9%) to reduce the demand for motorcycles cubic capacity of more than 500 cm ³. Ducati sales volumes dropped significantly only in Italy, France and Spain, but at the same time, the Bolognese company managed to add a little in the Asian region. The lion's share of Ducati motorcycles sold accounted for model Diavel, Monster and Streetfighter - a total of 13,051 units. In the first six months of 2013 sales models Hypermotard, Hyperstrada and Multistrada reached 8,012 units, and the sportbike Panigale and the 848 EVO 1199 were realized in the amount of 4,994 pieces.

In total, sales of motorcycles, parts, accessories and other products Ducati brought the company 378 million euros in revenue. For comparison, the income of another subsidiary, Audi - the company Lamborghini - amounted to only 233 million euros. However, Ducati is still only a small crumbs in the Audi Group, manufacturer of motorcycles because income is only 1.5% of the total € 25,2 billion in revenues received by the German concern for the first six months of 2013.
