Suzuki returns to MotoGP

At the end of November 2011 Suzuki Motor Corporation has officially announced the suspension of activity in global motorsport, particularly in the world championship MotoGP. Until recently, the plant was considering returning to MotoGP in 2014, but yesterday it became clear that Suzuki motorcycles will be on the grid "royal class" only in 2015.


Yesterday, in Catalonia, which is currently undergoing official tests MotoGP, the factory racing project Suzuki Motor Corporation has publicly confirmed his plans to return to the FIM Road Racing Grand Prix MotoGP in 2015. After two years of "freezing" of the project since the beginning of 2012, the corporation Suzuki again bringing together a test team to side-by-side with the regular participants of the championship conduct several tests of its prototype.


Only after extensive testing in Japan and beyond, the end of the development process and improve the prototype, Suzuki Motor Corporation will participate in the race MotoGP. The new test team that will work in Europe in 2013, will join the project manager Davide Brivio and pilot developer Randy De Puniet. The prototype Suzuki HRH1 is equipped with a 4-cylinder in-line engine capacity of 1000 cc.


On the first day of official testing at Circuit de Catalunya racetrack test team has achieved sensational results: Randy De Puniet, piloting the latest prototype of the 1000-cc Suzuki, the leader gave tests, the Grand Prix winner of the Lorenzo de Catalunya just 0.7 seconds.
