Having been born in 2004, Yamaha MT-01 has created a market apart, that of the motion Torque-Sport, characterised by a bicylindrical motor of big cubature, with a couple with tugboat and a moderately sporting guide.

For 2009 Yamaha introduces the MT-01 SP, special edition with some stylistic and technical alterations. The cycling one is renewed with a department suspensions voted to the sporting guide: news will be the fork Ohlins 43mm, studied and realised purposely to support the performances of the colossal one MT-01 SP. The back shock absorber Ohlins will adopt the separate reservoir and will improve the rapport of guide and the handiness.

The series tyres will be a Pirelli Diablo Red, supplied in the measures 120/70-17 in front and 190/50-17 behind. These rubbers combined with the loom in aluminium, guarantee a good grip, an exact guide and a better estate on the wet one.

New also the handle, it prays more often, with a diameter of 28,5mm, and the superior steering plate in worked aluminium. The colour will be special, two-coloured red and white, with a saddle to two tonality; the gilt circles and some chromium-plated additional details make the MT-01 SP the true one special of series.
